My Pregnancy Journal #35

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.
Jeremiah 1:5

I prayed for this child, and the Lord granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord.
1 Samuel 1:27-28

“Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is placed in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse into the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it’s soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny, –she would see that in all God’s world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her.” -JR Miller

How far along are you?  35 weeks today!  I am ready in spirit and patiently waiting for God's perfect timing.  :)

Baby's growth?  Naomi is about the size of a honeydew melon -- approximately 5 and 1/4 pounds and more than 18 inches, head to heel.  :) #ILoveBeingPregnant

Medical Stuff?  Beginning next week, I'll officially hit the doctors appointments once a week deal.  While it excites me to know that I'm getting close, I do not care for the travel expense to drive far into the city now every week.

In other news? I had five sporadic contractions over the entire course of yesterday, and since then baby has been considerably lower and I'm feeling a lot more pressure!  I talked with my doctor about the added pressure I'm feeling that I do not recall feeling this much of this early on in my past pregnancies.  She said it's totally normal to experience increased pressure with this being my fourth baby I've carried this far because everything is a lot more relaxed and stretched than it used to be.  :)
Until next time...

  1. Aww, congrats to you on 35 weeks. I hope the last few go swimmingly. :)

  2. Great outfit Rebecca, you look happy, healthy and feminine-modest...lol, does that make sense???

  3. You look awesome Rebecca! I just love your pregnant belly; so round and perfect! I'm not looking forward to the weekly appointments either. They are pretty boring and a bit inconvenient! But, it does mean you are closer!!

I'm thrilled you've stopped by for a visit! I hope you feel as though we're sittin' together on my front porch while drinkin' somethin' warm; simply sharin' life with transparency. :)
