My Pregnancy Journal #32
::Support During Childbirth::

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.
Jeremiah 1:5

I prayed for this child, and the Lord granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord.
1 Samuel 1:27-28

“Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is placed in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse into the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it’s soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny, –she would see that in all God’s world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her.” -JR Miller

How far along are you?  32 weeks today!  While there are still things to do and stuff to buy, I am ready in spirit and patiently waiting for God's perfect timing.  :)

Baby's growth?  Naomi is SO active!  Kicks and rolls constantly, more than I recall in any of my other pregnancies!  She is taking up more and more space in my uterus and weighs as much as a large jicama -- about 3 3/4 pounds and about 16 3/4 inches, head to heel.  :) #ILoveBeingPregnant

Discussion Question:  Who will be supporting you during your upcoming birth?  And do you have any advice for other pregnant moms who are considering a doula, or trying to decide who they want to have attend the birth?

My Answer -
My husband has supported me every time, agrees with me in prayer, and meets me where my faith is.  My only recommendations: "Supernatural Childbirth" by Jackie Mize and "Blessing Your Spirit" by Arthur Burk.

I shared a bit of insight about these books in the following posts --

  1. Pregnancy and I worked well together and I loved being pregnant too. Your daughter has the coolest name ever. *wink wink* Thank you for sharing at WJIM. Have a fabulous week.

  2. We have both of those books. What a BLESSING it was to have my husband support and agree with me in prayer during labor! God is gracious. Excited to see someone else has received encouragement from Supernatural Childbirth! It's an uncommon path to walk.

    1. Oh, Kayla, what a blessing indeed! He is SO gracious. Yes, I found it uncommon as well, and welcome the path. :) Thanks so much for your comment, new friend!
