My Pregnancy Journal #26

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.
Jeremiah 1:5

I prayed for this child, and the Lord granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord.
1 Samuel 1:27-28

“Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is placed in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse into the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it’s soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny, –she would see that in all God’s world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her.” -JR Miller

How far along are you?  26 weeks today!  Look at how much my belly has changed since last week!  It's sticking out much further than at 25 weeks.  And I can TELL, that's for sure, haha.  All of a sudden over the last week I have started to notice her weight.
Best Moment This Week?   We can now see her movement from the outside.  It's so much fun to see her big sisters' reactions to watching my belly move.  :)
Prayer Requests?  (1.)  Please continue to pray for my old friend, Brandon, and his lovely wife, Jess, who said goodbye to their baby girl last week after just one day of life (she was born at 25 weeks due to complications).  (2.)  Also, my back is improving, but still painful.  Most specifically I need prayer for my body to respond ideally to the chiropractor's work and techniques, and against debilitating soreness afterwards.  (I had one chiropractor for approximately ten years that passed away suddenly, and so my structure misses his work every time I'm adjusted by someone else.)
What scripture is speaking to you this week?  Oh my goodness, yall...  I am going through the "Soul Detox" Bible Study through She Reads Truth via YouVersion, and I am loving it.  I have been posting an image a day with a summary of what I've been learning that you can follow on my Instagram Feed or Facebook Page:)
Baby's growth?  Naomi is now approximately 1 and 2/3 pounds and is about 14 inches long! - about the size of an English hothouse cucumber, LOL. :) #ILoveBeingPregnant
Medical Stuff:  My next prenatal appointment is going to include the glucose tolerance test...  YUMMY!  Not.  Every time I start drinking the little bottle, I think to myself, "Oh this doesn't taste bad at all!  This will be much easier than last time!"  Then I get about half-way through and feel utterly sick to my stomach because of the concentration of glucose in my required empty tummy.  Needless to say, I don't really look forward to this visit.  Pros?  I'll get to hear her heartbeat again.  :)
Weight Gain/Loss? The last time I was weighed at a prenatal appointment, about three weeks ago, I had gained 22 pounds.  (We do not have a scale)  I am pleased with this amount, but feel no worry or concern about my weight gain as long as I know I am eating healthfully and getting what my baby and I need to flourish during this pregnancy.
What I miss?  Being able to get off of our comfy couch without effort (or sometimes even assistance, haha).
Cravings? Grilled cheese with red onion, peppers, cilantro, and steak seasoning, with a side of tomato soup.  Yep.  It hit the spot.  :)
Thoughts from the family?  My belly continues to be a hand magnet.  :)  Plus they think it's hysterical to watch my belly jump and pop.  They are getting really excited for the last trimester to hurry along.
