Mundane and Beautiful

Happy Monday beautiful ladies!!!
There are so many beautiful things about Mondays . . . Here at From My Mountain View, every Monday, we band together and renounce/reject manic Mondays.  Right here is a perfect place for us to encourage one another and be encouraged!

Featured Post from last week!
"Mundane & Beautiful"

This was posted by Kelli over at Adventurez in Child'Rearing.  Thanks Kelli for joining the link-up and for your super encouraging words!  Feel free to grab my button from the side-bar that reads, "I Was Featured On From My  Mountain View," to post to your blog or this week's Moms Against Manic  Monday post!  :)
Here is an excerpt from what Kelli shared:  "I gather my energy to begin the day. It's no easy task. My body doesn't want to co-operate with me and my list of things to do is ever growing. Before I can begin for the day - I must finish those tasks left undone from the day before. There are dishes in the sink. Abandoned cereal bowls - spilled milk - crumbs discarded,  have been left to rest where they lie as the children blissfully ignore the destruction they've left in their wake.... I'm weary, overwhelmed, broken down. There isn't enough time in the day - or energy to even put a dent in the tasks at hand. I often wonder how long it would take for them to notice if I just stopped doing the everyday things that must be done to keep the household running. Would they see? Would they begin to pick up the slack, lend a hand without being told?  ...Although I love my family - I must remember it is not them I serve daily. I serve a living Savior. ...Suddenly the mundane doesn't seem so irrelevant. I begin to see the beauty around me... As I clear away the lunch dishes and remind the boys not to run in the house - my cup runneth over and I love knowing that we will do it all again tomorrow. This mundane life God has blessed me with is beautiful."
Col 3: 23-24
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:
for ye serve the Lord Christ."
This was beautiful.  How precious to be open and honest about our short-comings and finding ends of ropes, only to lift others up by showering His light, goodness, and Truth. This is truly my heart for this link up!  So hop on over to be encouraged and find enjoyment in the entire read for  yourself!  :)

  1. Yes, we do need to keep in mind that we are serving out of our love for Christ. I know I get frustrated and discontent when I try to keep score or make things fair and equal. It's a constant struggle to keep Christ at the center. Your words are encouraging, Kelli. I'm so glad you've shared your thoughts from a humble heart.
