A Day to Lay To-Do's at Rest
::Video Blog::

It's been a lovely day.  Today I had on my heart about creating schedules, to-do lists, and order that is in balance between doing + being, working + playing.  I have found that the best are those where these are one in the same.  That you are doing while you're being and vise versa, playing while you're working at the same time.  It's not about forsaking needs in the home and responsibility, but rather willingness to be still and have a moment of rest, all the while teaching our families to grow in that balance as well.  So take your work and your rest/play seriously, and do both them aggressively.  :)

What did you, my friends, think of the first ever video blog?  I wanna know!  Be sure to follow From My Mountain View on YouTube for weekly updates.  :)  Also, are there any specific topics that you'd like for me to share on?  Or questions you have for me?  Love you all!!

  1. this balance is a hard one for me...but you speak it beautifully. Good work!!

  2. Go Rebecca! High five from my side of 66 for taking that step in v-logging :)

    I have a mostly-written blog post about schedules that I think you'd enjoy! My bottom line is that the 'schedule' is a guideline. The routine (doing & being) is purely habit!! Just as you spoke of the fruits of the spirit--they are a choice, to be made daily. It requires intention and commitment!

    I love you--let's hang out soon :)

    1. Hahaha Thanks! I look forward to reading that, Carron! And I totally agree. (On all counts) ;P

I'm thrilled you've stopped by for a visit! I hope you feel as though we're sittin' together on my front porch while drinkin' somethin' warm; simply sharin' life with transparency. :)
