Jesus cannot help but make things beautiful. :) If you know Him as your Savior and have a personal relationship with Him, He is in you. You invited Him in and He makes all things new. He just can't help Himself. ;) You are being conformed into the image of Christ. He is working on your behalf, even while you sleep. He works "overtime," 168 hours a week, 365 days a year - Your. Whole. Life.
2nd Timothy chapter 2 says that you are:
A Soldier - "No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him." When you feel stirred to battle, rise up and fight strong! Prepare. Be ready. For that.An Athlete - "And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully (fairly, according to the rules laid down)." When you hear the starter's horn, do not hesitate, but take off in a sprint! Prepare. Be ready. For that.
A Farmer - "[It is] the hard-working farmer [who labors to produce] who must be the first partaker of the fruits." When you see the last dark of the night, right before the dawn, be about your business and receive the bounty of the land He feeds you along the way. Prepare. Be ready. For that.
He calls you to:
Rest - In absolute peace in Christ.
Action - Occasionally called to rise up and fight. You are a warrior at heart. A minute man. Your boots are poised and ready. It's a love war. A nuclear one.Prepare for both - Rest and Action-, and do them both aggressively. Both already dwell within. Rest in who you are in Christ and be intentional.
Daddy God, thank you that you have put within me through Jesus all I am through Him. Please regulate the rhythm in my life, this "Kingdom Rhythm" of soldier, athlete, farmer, rest, action. Help me to see times of tending & keeping and times of active multiplying (genesis 1). I ask that You would help me be open to Divine interruption, even Divine subtleties in my every day. To fight effectively and live enjoyment effectively, peacefully. To rest in You, Oh God, and let You produce awesomeness in my life. In Jesus' name. :)
