Homemaking Wednesdays

The house is backed up.  It sort of makes me feel constipated spiritually when my house is not straight.  I'm not talking about perfectly spick and span (I've got three little ones, remember.), but "in order" is what I desire.  I was doing pretty well there for awhile and then something happened (not really a big deal at all) that caused me to get behind one day.  Then I was just constantly behind.  Now it's just plain backed up and I feel constipated.  Lack of order in my physical surroundings really effects me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  I am less motivated, on edge, and less sensitive to His voice.

My "Ta-Da!" moment --
Send the eldest two kids to their grandparent's for 24 hours!  It will give me the opportunity to not just "maintain" the current state of my home, but actually go way beyond that and catch up.  :)  There is no shame in asking for help in that way at all.  Try it!

  1. I can so relate this week! My focus has been to de-clutter. It seems like a never ending process, but I'm finding ways to prevent a backed-up house. However, now I need to make a trip to Goodwill and Salvation Army with the mountain of bags in one corner of my dining room..

Just happy to see that I have someone to relate with - its been draining me! Thank the Lord for His grace!

  2. Yes! De-cluttering a house definitely is a never-ending process. I just that recently as well. :) And I agree - It can be exhausting! But He is good. :)

I'm thrilled you've stopped by for a visit! I hope you feel as though we're sittin' together on my front porch while drinkin' somethin' warm; simply sharin' life with transparency. :)

Whether you are a first time visitor or a long-time reader, know that you are welcome here in this community. Put your feet up awhile and make yourself at home!
